Chulak is a Free Jaffa planet in the Milky Way Galaxy, formerly occupied and controlled by the System Lord Apophis. As the first world under Goa'uld domination to openly revolt against its false gods, Chulak is regarded as the cradle of the Jaffa Rebellion, a distinction only reinforced by the number of rebel leaders hailing from its surface; the first two democratic Chancellors of the new Jaffa government, Teal'c and Bra'tac, lived most of their lives on the planet. After falling to the Ori during their crusade, Chulak emerged stronger than ever, and went on to become the new capital of the Free Jaffa Nation when Dakara was devastated. It has since taken on additional administrative duties for the Interstellar Alliance.
