Freya is a human formerly the host of the Tok'ra Anise. For a time, she and her symbiote had ruled as the head of the High Council, but when they were abducted by the Der'kal on Chulak, the post was passed on to another after recovery efforts failed. The aliens forcibly extracted Anise from Freya's body, then killed the human host and sent her via stargate to Arrakis, where the Tok'ra were forced to use a sarcophagus to revive her for information. After telling her people all she knew and remembered of the experience, she requested an extended leave to gather her thoughts and to decide whether or not she still belonged with the Tok'ra even without her partner.
Contrary to Anise, Freya is cautious, humble, and far less interested in politics. Nevertheless, she has garnered a great deal of respect amongst the Tok'ra for her steadfast devotion to their cause, even after the death of her symbiote.
